AI Spera, the developer of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Search Engine Criminal IP, has entered into a technology partnership with the Swiss DNS platform Quad9 to exchange domain threat intelligence data.
Quad9 is a non-profit organization operated by the Swiss Quad9 Foundation to enhance internet users’ privacy and cybersecurity. It operates a free Anycast DNS platform globally, identifying and blocking malicious hosts based on global threat intelligence to prevent cyber threats such as malware, phishing, spyware, and botnets on computers, mobile devices, and IoT devices.

Through this technology partnership, both parties share AI Spera’s domain threat information and Quad9’s blocking data via API integration.
Criminal IP sends Domain Data Feed identified as malicious through the specially designed Criminal IP Malicious Domains Retrieval API to Quad9. This feed is utilized alongside other threat intelligence (TI) data sources integrated into the Quad9 platform, such as IBM, OpenPhish, F-Secure, RiskIQ, Domain Tools, to create a blocklist for user protection. As a result, Quad9 updates its domain threat information to protect end users, while AI Spera incorporates global TI data into its dataset to further enhance Criminal IP’s accuracy.
